  2. FROM THE BEGINNING God, from the beginning, created heaven and earth, giving man the control of all the resources of the earth. It is therefore clear that God did not intend that man should lack in any way.

  3. WHEN MAN’S PROBLEM BEGUN Man lost control of the resources due to disobedience. But God, being the all merciful, told man that, even in spite of his disobedience, if man worked hard, he would have enough to take care of himself.

  4. WHERE IS THE BALL? So, the ball is now in your court. You have to act.

  5. KICK THE BALL This audience is mixed and so the lines of action that have to be suggested have to be varied. How should you act? There can be no universal answer. - - - More

  6. KICK THE BALL What I intend to do is to categorize the audience according to age and stages in life and proceed to prescribe actions that can serve to sustain the journey towards success at each stage.

  7. HOW TO KICK THE BALL At each appropriate time, it is important to produce a comprehensive life plan covering physical well-being, family/spouse, spiritual, humanitarian, financial, career, strategic, community, educational/personal development.

  8. LIFE CYCLE Man goes through a life-cycle, from childhood to adolescence, adulthood, mature stage, old age and then death. Poverty, success or failure is defined by your actions, which may affect your position at each stage.

  9. MIRACLES Miracles are possible but if you are in a wrong place, you can miss them.

  10. CHILDHOOD KINDERGARTEN 3 – 5 YEARS Actions Necessary For Success • Action still by parents - Medically, nutritionally, • physically, educationally, emotionally. • Parents: • Send your children to good schools. • Show them love. • Start to teach them about God. • Child is developing sense of accepting challenges.

  11. CHILDHOOD PRIMARY SCHOOL AGE 6 – 11 YEARS Actions Necessary For Success • Action is by both parents and the child. • Children: • Obey your parents • Obey your teachers • Do your assignments. • Help your parents. • Avoid bad company. • Know that there is God. - - - More

  12. Parents: • Guide your children. • Know them intimately. • Teach them about God. • Educate them on dangers of immorality. • Encourage them. • Children at this stage desire to show mastery • and excellence.

CHILDHOOD SECONDARY & ADOLESCENT 12 – 18 Actions Necessary For Success • Action by children and Parents. • Children: • Obey your parents and teachers. • Beware of cultism. • Face your studies. • Read books on school subjects plus other books on other matters including novels. • Read widely. - - - More

  14. Have a Time Table for your school subjects. • Start early. • Shun Exam Malpractices. • Write down a 5-Year Plan when in SS1. • Beware of AIDS. • Shun alcohol. • Join clubs and societies. • Engage in sports. - - - More

  15. Parents: • Send your children to good schools. • Work with teachers to guide your children. • Support them with school materials. • Show them love. • Children at this stage may face identity crisis. • “Who am I?” becomes an important question.

  16. ADOLESCENT TERTIARY 18 – 23 YEARS Actions Necessary For Success • Action here mainly by child. • Know your strengths and weaknesses. Try • to correct your areas of weaknesses. • Build on your areas of strengths. • Objectively and realistically select your intended vocation or field of specialization. • University, Polytechnic, Apprenticeship, etc, the choice is yours. - - - More

  22. FULLY MATURE 40 + YEARS Actions Necessary For Success • Shine your eyes. • Consolidate your plans and activities concerning what you want to be. • Intensify actions in the above box. • Write a will, just in case. - - - More

  24. YOU ARE RIPE 50 - 55 Actions Necessary For Success • Intensify actions in the above box. • Start planning for your retirement, which may happen in between 5 to 10 years time. • Where will you live? You must work out how you will be paying your daily bills. • Revise your will. - - - More
