LACNIC Update: Key Projects and Developments for 2010 and Beyond

In August 2010, LACNIC presented its strategic plans and updates, highlighting key projects for the year. Major initiatives include strategic planning, customer-oriented improvements, and a new website scheduled for December. The organization has appointed new staff, including a CTO, hostmaster, and an I+D engineer, expanding its team to a projected 25 FTE by year-end. Other focal points involve resource management, IPv4 and IPv6 updates, and various forums for policy discussions. Upcoming meetings are set for São Paulo and Cancun, fostering collaboration across the region.
