  4. Kate Halpin, front, of California is comforted by her friend Latt McInnis as she remenbers her brother on Memorial Day, May 29, 2000 at the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, DC. Halpin's brother was sent to Vietnam war and is reported still missing.

  5. U.S. Marine Corps Sgt. Douglas Findlay touches the engraved name of fellow Marine Sgt.Timothy Bodden, while visiting the Vietnam War Memorial. Bodden was in the same unit which Findlay currently serves in during the Vietnam War and is officially listed as missing in action. Memorial Day honors those who gave their lives in battle for the US.
