  3. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Annual Meeting Blacksburg, Virginia 18-20 April 2006 SANREM Knowledge Base (SKB) • The SKB is a key component of the SANREM • CRSP • All SANREM participants are required to document the information resources they contribute to SA & NRM knowledge • (articles, reports, books, presentations, photos, videos, extension and training materials, etc.) • The SKB will be linked to publicly accessible digital resource libraries (Agriculture Network Information Center, INFOMINE) • http://www.oired.vt.edu/sanremcrsp/menu_information/ • knowledgebase.php

  6. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Annual Meeting Blacksburg, Virginia 18-20 April 2006 II Research Outputs, Results and Impacts by Objective Please provide a maximum of one page for each objective according to your original research objectives as set out at the beginning of the year: • describe the major tasks and outputs completed; • abstractkey research findings; • note the system level to which the objective corresponds; • describe how the research results in development impact following the pathway developed with the TOP Table; and • note the extent to which the project timeline is being met, any obstacles encountered, and the actions taken and lessons learned.

  9. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Annual Meeting Blacksburg, Virginia 18-20 April 2006 Research Reports SANREM CRSP Knowledge and Information Products for Decision Makers • should be documented in the SKB • disseminated widely SANREM CRSP partners may hold data sets for up to two years before release to facilitate publication and scholarly activities, but ultimately all SANREM CRSP generated data must be made available to the public with proper documentation (metadata) so that it can be used by others. • Research Briefs; Technical Reports; etc. • Use local languages as appropriate
