Importance of NMT in Asia and Pacific Region • 10 to 90 % of Traffic in China, India, Indonesia, and Bangladesh is NMT • In Tokyo, about 30% of the total trip is cyclist • Wide range of intermediate modes of transport between pedestrians and MT in Asia and hence Transport systems in Asia are very efficient
