Project description • Growth in competences in the field of products and technologies development • Upgrading of existing solution of TPV’s car seat • Development of a headrest featuring an effective protection against whiplash injuries in case of a rear collision • Development of a safe headrest and seat back structures made of high-strength steel and development of a related notches technology • Development of tools for cold forming of high-strength steel with hard coating on the basis of multi-layer nano coating • Manufacture and testing of the new safe and eco-friendly headrest • Compliance with ECE regulations, EU directive and Euro NCAP safety standards

Project achievements • Conducted studies (EU regulations, Euro NCAP guidelines, state of the art…) • Studies on the use of high-strength materials • Development of the new safe and eco-friendly headrest : • Development of a headrest featuring an efficient protection against whiplash injuries in case of a rear collision • Development of a safe headrest and back seat structures made of high-strength steel  weight of metal structure reduced by 21% • Development of the related high-strength steel forming technology • Creation of a prototype • Prototype testing and optimization
