  8. The Basketball Court At the basketball court you can play basketball, hockey and soccer. You can also skateboard, scoot and run.

  9. Carl Schurz Park By: Judy Lawrence Carl Schurz Park is a very popular park, with a history. It was named after a man named Carl Schurz in 1910. Schurz was born on March 2nd, 1829 and died on May 14th 1906. He came to America from Germany with his wife in 1852, and they moved to Wisconsin. Then, in 1881, he moved to New York City. Many people like Carl Schurz Park for many different reasons. To start off, people have said that it’s “Soo much better than Central Park,” and it’s “One of my favorite parks in NYC,” and it’s “The best park in the city.” It seems pretty good, right? But why? According to a www.yelp.com review, people like the park because the many little places and nooks to have picnics, and the fact that it’s very clean. Also, it’s very dog friendly. Examples of this are the areas to clean off your dog, and the provided bags to pick up after your dog with. People also tend to like the separate dog runs, for little dogs and big dogs, and they say it’s very safe. They like the seating for humans that is very common and easy to find in the whole entire park, and the fact that it’s not very busy, and it’s very relaxing and people have even said that it’s quieter than Central Park! Plus, there’s an amazing pizzeria five minutes away from the park. The views of the East river are great, and these gardens have beautiful flowers, and gardens. The list of why people don’t like Carl Schurz Park is very short. The only reasons that people don’t like Carl Schurz Park is that there “aren’t near bathrooms close to the dog runs,” and that the “concrete ground gets hot during the summer.” One of the reasons that so many people go to Carl Schurz Park is that it appeals to all ages. The playground for little kids, and then the Catbird playground for older kids. The promenade for walking, biking and plenty of other things, for all ages. The basketball courts for older and younger people, and the gardens for adults. It even appeals to animals! The trees are great for birds and squirrels, and if humans were dogs, we would be happy to go to the Carl Schurz dog run. Overall, Carl Schurz is a great park that can be used by everyone.
