Charitable • Matrix has so far committed over £510,000 in grants to charitable and non-charitable causes. • Barristers and staff alike make monthly contributions to the Fund and a sub-committee considers applications for support. • Since July 2003 Matrix Causes Fund’s priorities have been support for organisations working in the following areas: • Access to justice, including securing benefits such as welfare benefits, health, housing and from other vulnerable groups such as prisoners and asylum seekers • Promotion of women’s rights, especially women's refuges • Children’s education, especially special educational needs, and the promotion of art and music in schools • The environment, especially the prevention of environmental damage • Homelessness and mental health

Highly Ranked • Ranked in Chambers & Partners 2011 and Legal 500 2010 in 28 different practice areas, Matrix has a vast breadth of practice yet it maintains an incredibly high quality of work across that breadth. Members continue to be involved in those cases that challenge and push the boundaries of the current legal environment.
