Positive staff experience in teaching, professional development, and research. EIT seen as innovators. Project:NZ Diploma Business On-line AIM To offer 3 NZ Dip Bus. courses online within 8 weeks.

  8. Robert Iles Paul McLean OUTCOMES 24/7 access to the Intranet from a single login and improved use of existing technology. Project: Remote Access to the Intranet AIM Give students and staff flexible and extended access to the Intranet.

Cheryl McConnell Cynthia Price Gillian Ryan Helen Stewart-MacKenzie Fiona Mason Maryanne Eyles OUTCOMES An extremely well planned event was held to the benefit of students, staff and the local community. Applied research was presented to a relevant audience. Project:Early Childhood Research Symposium AIM To disseminate current early childhood research to improve practice within the sector.

  10. Shelley Heath Linda O’Brien OUTCOMES An electronic payslip service is operating reliably through the payroll system. Pay information is received more quickly. Modest cost savings made. Project:Electronic Payslips AIM To improve the payslip advice service to staff and reduce costs to EIT.

  11. And the 2005 XEROX Quality Improvement Project Award goes to:

  12. Natalie Stevens, Sally Woods, Wendy Nichol, Janine Moran, Cathy Saenger, Tom Johnson for their NZ Diploma Business On-line project. From the panel- - a very well planned and implemented project. It showed dedicated staff who responded to the challenge of the project, and who consulted with the critical support areas of administration, marketing, library and computer services. Throughout the project the team kept asking themselves how to do it better, they set goals and evaluated the results. It was a project of continual improvement. This project showed a high level of innovation in the product design and implementation and has benefited students, staff and EIT.
