  2. Animal’s body Chickens bodies are like a gigantic bird. They have scaled legs. Their bodies are squishy to the touch and are covered in feathers. They molt when it is getting close to winter. They have huge beaks. The eyes are orange-yellowish. They have a strong digestive system.

  3. HABITAT Some chickens live in the wild. Some live in houses and barns. I have four chickens that live in my backyard. They live in a chicken coop. The chicken coop is big enough that a grown up can fit inside of it. There are four nests. They perch on perches. There is straw to keep it soft for the chickens in their nests.

  4. habits Chickens like to eat worms, oyster shells, and pebbles on the ground. They also like to eat bugs, grubs, and dried corn. They also like eating other fruits and vegetables. Sometimes they like to eat flowers. They have a habit a taking dirt baths. Chickens like finding shade sometimes.

  5. INTERESTING FACT There are 25 billion chickens in the world.
