  1. As you judgeyou will be judged

  2. A speck of sawdust and a lump of wood

  3. How do you understand the lesson Jesus is teaching us?

  4. Matthew 7:1 - 5 “Do not judge, or you too will be judged. For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you. “Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? • How can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when all the time there is a plank in your own eye? • You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.

  5. “You live your life, and I’ll live mine. I won’t say anything about your life, and you won’t say anything about mine”.

  6. “Don’t give to dogs what is sacred, don’t throw your pearls to the pigs”

  7. Being judgmental has to do with OUR JUDGMENT OF OTHER PEOPLE’S THOUGHTS AND MOTIVES.

  8. How to be non judgmental - Jesus • Don’t say one thing and do another – • don’t be a hypocrite • Judge YOURSELF rightly and be willing to make changes – • showintegrity • Give to others the same kind of understanding, grace and forgiveness that God has given you – • make sure you show mercy

  9. HYPOCRISY is focusing on the speck in another person’s eye while ignoring the log in your own. INTEGRITY is removing the log from your own eye. MERCY is removing the speck from another’s eye.

  10. HYPOCRISY is focusing on the speck in another person’s eye while ignoring the log in your own.

  11. Matt 23:25 “You are hypocrites! You wash the outside of your cups and dishes, but inside they are full of things you got by cheating others and by pleasing only yourself” NCV

  12. Do we want to be known for our mask or for our real selves?

  13. How do we reject hypocrisy? Put into practice the words of Jesus, one day at a time, one relationship at a time, one conversation at a time.

  14. How do we reject hypocrisy? Instead of judging people in your mind, chose to love them with your words and actions. “Don’t just pretend that you love others. Really love them.” Romans 12:9 NLT

  15. Who are we living to impress anyway?

  16. INTEGRITY is removing the log from your own eye.

  17. How will I choose integrity?

  18. CHOOSING integrity • Decide in advance to do the right thing • Choose to speak the truth • Choose to be honest about faults • Choose to ask for God’s help

  19. I will try to walk a blameless path. But how I need your help, especially in my own home, where I long to act as I should. Help me to refuse the low and vulgar things; help me to abhor all crooked deals of every kind, to have no part in them. Psalm 101:2-3 LB

  20. MERCY is removing the speck from another’s eye.

  21. Removing the log from our own eye is not a step to make us better than others and therefore justified in pointing out other’s failings.

  22. Mercy is the proper response of those who have received God’s mercy

  23. I notice there’s a speck in your eye. Can I help?

  24. How will I show mercy ?

  25. HYPOCRISY is focusing on the speck in another person’s eye while ignoring the log in your own. INTEGRITY is removing the log from your own eye. MERCY is removing the speck from another’s eye.

  26. “God has chosen you and made you his holy people. He loves you. So always do these things. Show mercy to others, be kind, humble, gentle, and patient. Get along with each other and forgive each other. If someone does wrong to you, forgive that person because the Lord forgave you.” Col. 3:12-15 NCV
