  2. DSWA: • As of April 11 2011, the Delaware solid waste authority will stop providing single-stream curbside recycling service. • The DSWA will still provide 12 secure EGR drop off locations throughout the state as well as holding the 16 EGR collection events in 2011. • They believe that restructing of the program will improve the amount of electronic goods being recycled in Delaware.

  3. Proposal: • To improve the amount of electronic goods being recycled in Delaware, the state should provide recycle dumpsters in developments all over the state. For Example:

  4. Letter: • Dear, State Governor Markell • The reason why I have emailed you is to let you know that the DSWA will stop providing single-stream curbside recycling service. However they will still provide 12 secure EGR drop off locations throughout the state as well as holding the 16 EGR collection events in 2011. They believe that the reconstructing of the program will improve the amount of electronic goods being recycled in Delaware. • I have a proposal to even improve more amounts of electronic goods being recycled and that is to add recycle dumpsters in every development in Delaware. With this idea trash trucks only have to make one stop in order to collect recycled goods in a development. Fewer amounts of pollution will spread into the air which means more fresh air for us to breathe through. The reason why I have this proposal is because since the DSWA has stopped single-stream curbside, recycle bins, residents of developments will put recycled goods in their regular dumpsters and the DSWA will not receive as much recycled goods as they would want to receive. In order to pay for the recycled dumpsters we should increase the 5 cent bottle tax to 15 cents. • With my predictions an average person only drinks out of a bottle maybe 10 times a week so in about a year we will be able to afford the recycled dumpsters. If you agree with my proposal or not I would like to hear a response from you. THANKYOU!! • Sincerely, Michael Mahetta
