  8. Baduku College Campus: An appeal We have now leased 2.25 acres of land near Bangalore and intend to use ½ an acre for setting up a low cost eco friendly campus for Baduku College. The rest of the land will be developed as a demo organic farm and produce will be used in our hostel or sold to generate income for Samvada. Developing the farm and construction of campus will cost Rs 18 Lakhs. We appeal to you to donate a towards a building fund for Samvada and help us become a sustainable organization. Samvada’sprogrammes are supported by grants from 3 institutional donors in 2-3 year project cycles . Our annual requirement of funds is currently 1.60 crores. While our long term donors continue to support most of our activities, after 21 years we still have ZERO reserves and NO corpus. Braving the vagaries of funding has meant taking risks while initiating new programmes, retaining staff and reaching out to new students. We own no land or buildings and work from 5 rented premises for our 3 Youth Resource Centres, office and training house. It has also meant shifting from one rented house to another and not allowing our fragility to come in the way of institutional growth.

  9. We also need support For the eco tourism enterprise For the Farmer-Consumer Co The base camp site Clients- interested in nature adventures Financial Support for Setting up Base Camp & Business Development- Rs 9.5 Lakhs Feedback and referrals Learning opportunities Marketing channels Consumers interested in organic food and committed to working with farmers Institutional/Corporate bulk buyers Financial support for farmers training and setting up supply chain Rs 15.3 Lakhs Feedback for continual improvement
