  1. Databases play a key role in an application's functioning. Also, the output of an application depends directly on how the application's underlying database performs. AWS Database Services is a collection of cloud-based databases provided by AWS. Database on AWS Let's take a step back to consider how AWS database were implemented and used when there were no cloud AWS database. Previously, organizations were using in-house servers to install AWS database. We will probably have to hire people for the routine maintenance and performance troubleshooting of these in-house AWS database. Now imagine that you are an enthusiast of startups. You start an ecommerce company; then all of your company income comes from your app. It is therefore incredibly critical that your application be up and running with the highest possible output all the time. Things to do You need to do the follows. ●Make sure all the servers are fitted with the newest possible hardware ●Track the hardware continuously for any faults or performance problems ●Improve your application code continuously, and think about new features to expand your business further Why AWS database? That's precisely why AWS Database Services got in the picture. With AWS Database Services, you simply need to concentrate on your application code and expanding your business. The rest will be managed and cared for by AWS, i.e., all hardware upgrades, security patches, and even software upgrades are cared for by AWS, which is too cost-free! When I say free, I mean you only have to pay AWS for the time you've used their database services, nothing extra for upgrades to the hardware, etc. If you have any doubts or questions concerning AWS, please post to the AWS Forum.

  2. That sounds fantastic, isn't it? Imagine how much savings this model will bring you: you don't have to maintain a Database Maintenance team, you don't have to buy expensive hardware for your servers, and most importantly, you can just focus on your business issues and leave everything to AWS. That's not all. There are huge extra benefits you'll get with AWS. Let's debate them. Amazon AWS database Vorteils. Benefits of AWS database Highly Scalable: You can scale up your database without any downtime as your application grows! Fully Managed: Everything is managed by AWS, from repairs to hardware upgrades. Enterprise Class: Amazon's giant ecommerce platform uses the same world-class infrastructure to get you. Distributed: Now that you have your code and database on separate machines, your application is highly tolerant of faults. Workforce Reduction: Because AWS handles it, you don't need to have a Server Maintenance department within your company. In short, AWS Database Services are highly scalable, completely managed services offered by AWS on a pay-as-you-go platform for Internet-scale applications. They offer various AWS database such as relational AWS database, AWS database that are not related, etc. Moving on, let 's talk about the AWS Database Services forms. AWS Database Resources Forms AWS provides a wide range of fully managed, purpose-built and relational as well as non-relational database services designed specifically to handle any application requirements. AWS has got it all, from fully managed database services, a data analytics warehouse, to a caching data store in memory. For just about any kind of data base requirements, you will find an AWS Database Service. Someone can import into Amazon's AWS database an existing MySQL, Oracle, or Microsoft SQL database or even create from scratch their own relational or NoSQL AWS database. Various types of database services provided by AWS as follows. AWS Enterprise database Relational Database: Typically the data is stored in a tabular format in reference to the AWS database. In particular, relationship AWS database use structured query language ( SQL) to run queries for operations such as insertion, updating, deletion, and more. AWS provides services relational to the database following.

  3. Key – Value Database: The key – value database is a type of NoSQL database in which data is stored using the method of having a value attached to a key. This means the data consists of two elements, keys, and values. DynamoDB: Amazon In-memory Database: This type of database is based primarily on the main computer data storage memory. Basically, the entire data is kept in the RAM by a database in memory. This means that you only access the main memory each time you access the data, and not any disk. And why in-memory AWS database are so common is the reason that the main memory is faster than any disc. ElastiCache an amazon Starting with Relational Database Services, let's get acquainted with all these database services. RDS at AWS One of AWS 'most commonly used database services that falls under the category of relational AWS database is Amazon RDS. Amazon RDS is a service that supports a variety of open-source relational database products including AWS's own database products. RDS is used for the creation, operation and scale of a cloud relational database. It automates administrative tasks like hardware provisioning, setting up database, backups, and more. Some of the benefits of using RDS are hereafter as follows. ●It delivers high performance, and is quick to scale. ●It provides high availability due to two distinct features of replication, namely Multi-AZ deployments and Read Replicas. ●By patching up the AWS database software it automatically takes care of Backup and Restore. ●It also automatically handles Maintenance and Upgrades. Redshift for Amazon AWS Amazon Redshift is a cloud data storage service which is fast and fully managed. Amazon affirms that the data warehouse of Redshift provides output ten times faster than other data warehouses using machine learning techniques. The Redshift data warehouse can be scaled to petabyte or higher, as needed. Some of the advantages of using Amazon Redshift are hereafter as follows. ●Parallel queries may be performed across multiple nodes ●Backed directly to Amazon S3 ●Cost efficient over other solutions for data warehouses ●Safety built-in as Amazon Redshift offers end-to - end encryption and allows users to configure firewall rules

  4. Amazon AWS Aurora Amazon Aurora is entirely run by Amazon RDS. It is a cloud-built relational database engine. Amazon Aurora is completely MySQL compliant, too. Since Amazon Aurora is fully managed by RDS, all administrative tasks are automated, such as database setup, patching, backups, and more. Here are some of the benefits to using Amazon Aurora. ●It delivers high output and scalability. ●It is extremely secure. ●It offers high longevity and durability. ●It is managed to the full. DynamoDB at Amazon AWS Amazon DynamoDB is a NoSQL database which is fast, fully managed and flexible. It also supports data based on the documents. AWS notes that DynamoDB provides output at any size in a single-digit millisecond. DynamoDB comes with built-in features like Security, Backup and Restore. Considering that DynamoDB is a NoSQL database, no schema is needed. There are essentially three core constituents in DynamoDB: 1.Tables: In DynamoDB the data collection is called a list. It is not a structured table with a fixed number of columns and rows. 2.Items: DynamoDB tables contain a single element or more. Items consist of a uniquely identifiable group of attributes. 3.Attributes: Attributes are the elements of data or values residing in each item. They are analogous to data values in a relational database residing in a given table cell. Characteristics Below are some of the advantages to using Amazon DynamoDB: ●Easy to set up and to administer ●Multiple Availability Zones replicate data automatically ●Supports data models based on key principles and documents

  5. AWS Elasticache Amazon ElastiCache is a professionally managed caching service providing high-performance caching solutions that are cost-effective and scalable. Amazon ElastiCache comes with two caching engines, Memcached and Redis. Need of ElastiCache at AWS Using Amazon ElastiCache has different benefits. ElastiCache also improves the performance of applications, as it eliminates disk reads, in addition to being easy to set up and deploy. Here are some of the main reasons why ElastiCache is hugely useful. Response time: ElastiCache reduces response time by recovering data from a quick memory system. This reduces the dependency on normally slower disk-based AWS database. Scalability: The Amazon ElastiCache is designed to automatically change itself. Depending on the fluctuating application requirements it may scale out or scale up. Full management: You can fully manage Amazon ElastiCache, so all specific administrative tasks such as providing hardware, restoring errors, backups, and more are automated. This is just a brief introduction to all of the main Amazon Web Services database services. All of these AWS Database Services will be discussed and explained in their respective blogs individually, and in depth. If you want to know more, check out the AWS Certification and Training and get a comprehensive understanding of the Amazon Web Services. Conclusion I hope you reach to a conclusion about AWS Database services. You can learn more through AWS online training.
