ACT/SATMost juniors take the 1st time Spring of junior year-(April)June • Why take? Attend 4- year college, 2 year college in a medical program • Testing over English, Reading, Math, Science, opt. Writing • Assumes college prep course work • Practice Book and web ACT Prep info • Score determines • What college you can get into • What program within the college • Scholarship money

College Visit InfoPg. 18 In Student Handbook • 3 Total college days between junior/senior year • No more than 2 per year • If follow the rules it does not count against attendance • Granted based on grades and attendance
Steps to Set Up Register on-line for most colleges or call admissions Bring in a note from home at least 2 DAYS AHEAD of when you are set to go- give to Sue or Angie They create a form you must take with you to be signed at the college Return the form to the office after the visit

Postsecondary Enrollment Options Program(PSEOP) Sign the statement on the half sheet Option to attend college while in high school,4-year or 2-year Must be notified of this option by March 1st If you want to pursue this option there is a MANDATORY meeting for both the student and one parent/guardian to attend on Monday, February 25th at 6:30 March 30th your deadline to enroll. You are choosing the college, selecting classes, . . . .

Option B High School and college credit Schools pays for all basic fees Grade reported to the school Affects GPA and Rank • Most students select this option for the financial benefits
