  4. What is “Running Commentary”? • “RC” is a reading of the traffic picture aloud. • Speak out: observations, interpretations, evaluations, and intentions. • “RC” must take place before the fact.

  5. How to Teach an Instructor “Running Commentary” • Trainee describes everything pertinent ahead, to both sides, to the rear. • Describe possible actions/why. • “RC” should be specific not vague. • Include signs, signals, hazards.
