  1. 6 Tips on How to Increase the Effectiveness of CBD A lot of articles online show very limited tips on increasing the effectiveness of CBD so I though I summarize some info on this. Thought I share this to help others :) Please let me know if you have additional tips and I can add them. Thanks! -- ** Understanding Bioavailability** *Oral* For the sake of CBD bioavailability specifically, oral is one of the least effective ways to take cannabidiol, however. According to the scientific research, only 6 – 15% of CBD is absorbed by the digestive tract and gastrointestinal system *Sublingual* The capillaries under the tongue allow for the cannabidiol to go directly into the bloodstream, which avoids the “first pass metabolism” from the oral (swallowed) dose of CBD. A CBD sublingual dose may be anywhere from 20 – 35% bioavailable [3], which is superior to the oral dose by quite a bit. *Vaping* Having a 40% or more bioavailable CBD oil at your fingertips is good especially if you are suffering from an acute need of cannabidiol, but most people in most situations are not.

  2. There are all types of arguments against vaping from dissenting voices whether it is because of the other chemicals involved or with the simple assumption that it isn’t healthy for the lungs (not to mention not very useful for children or dogs who seen benefits from CBD). -- **Look for full-spectrum CBD products (instead of pure CBD isolate)** This is a very important tip for maximizing the effects of CBD, as most all experts agree that full-spectrum tinctures are much more effective than 100% pure CBD isolate. -- **Omega 3 Fatty Acids** Your body cannot make endocannabinoids without omega 3. But your body is unable to make omega 3 on its own so it relies entirely upon your diet to supply it. A study was conducted in 2011 where mice were found to develop broken down cannabinoid receptors due to a deficiency of Omega 3. Omega 3 can be found in fish, etc. -- **Consume CBD After a Full Meal** After eating a meal, especially with a lot of fat, CBD can be much better absorbed by your body. So it's smart to take your CBD after breakfast, lunch, or dinner. -- **Exercise for Better CBD Absorption** Physical activity up regulates receptors and enhances receptor sensitivity so that they are more receptive. In fact, there is a hypothesis that the endocannabinoid system is partly or wholly attributable for what’s known as a runner’s high. Which is a state of euphoria experienced after a run. It is a complete turnaround in mood for a more excitable state. A study was conducted with trained male college students, that were put on treadmills and stationary bikes. The activity ran for 50 minutes at a heart rate of 70-80 % of the maximum. Afterwards, results of the tests showed an increased level of anandamide in their blood plasma. However, further research is required to ascertain the nature and mechanism of endocannabinoid response. --

  3. **Read the directions** So this might sound a bit obvious and I CBD apologize in advance if I'm insulting your intelligence here, but PLEASE don’t forget to read the dosage instructions on the bottle before you consume your CBD. Products and serving sizes etc vary quite a bit so it's smart to check this first. -- **Look for a broader Cannabinoid profile** Some early research is suggesting that full spectrum products with a broader cannabinoid profile offer better effects. Check your product's lab tests for the amount of CBD, CBC, CBG, CBN, THC etc that's included. Bonus points for a broad terpene profile! -- **Over to You** I would love to hear the community's feedback on tips and tricks to improve CBD's effectiveness so we all get better results. Thanks for your time.
