Limonade: -Municipality in the Cap-Haitien region in North Haiti -69,256 inhabitants -Christopher Columbus and crew celebrated the first Christmas in the “Americas” here in 1492 -François Capois, a renowned hero of the Haitian Revolution, died in Limonade -SonjeAiti is a notable NGO in Limonade Milot: -Town in the Cap-Haitien region in North Haiti -Was a French plantation -Site of Sans-Souci Palace, a ruin that was the royal residence of King -Henri Christophe and Queen Marie-Louis and demonstrated the power and capability of the black race -Site of the Citadelle, a large mountaintop fortress that is an icon and most well-known landmark of Haiti

Date of trip: March 8-16 Day 1- Arrive, tour of Port-au-Prince, welcome dinner, stay one night Day 2- Drive to and explore Cap-Haitien Day 3-4- Community needs assessment and hands on activity in Limonade Day 5- Citadel and beach- hike, reflect, relax Day 6- Community needs assessment in Milot Day 7- Drive back, farewell Day 8- Fly out

Hands on projects with SonjeAyiti: -Distributing hot meals -Begin a community garden at a primary school -Chicken distribution to school children -Working with the College of William and Mary to spread health information -Helping with the women’s cocoa coop- women making chocolate -Helping with small business development
