  3. Distinguishing Importance of Information Relevant information is directly related to the subject you are reading. Irrelevant information is unrelated to the subject.

  4. Distinguishing Importance of Information Essential information is needed to understand a subject fully. Incidental information does not affect your knowledge of a subject.

  5. Distinguishing Importance of Information Verifiable information can be proved while unverifiable information cannot be proved.

  6. Distinguishing Importance of Information Senwosret was away from home on duty in the Egyptian army. He was a brave soldier, never showing fear or retreating. He was also very handsome. One day, while preparing for a long journey, he was summoned. A messenger had come to share with Senwosret news from home: his father had been killed. Senwosret was filled with grief and rushed home to claim the land that was rightfully his.

The article speaks about Ramses II being a vain person, while this sentence merely states that he liked to wear jewelry. The sentence is relevant because it relates to how he was a vain person. He was concerned about his appearance, so he made sure that he wore jewelry that was made just for him.
