  2. مقدمه • طرح رده بندی علوم در اوایل قرن20 گسترش یافت و در سال 1905 قبل از انتشار نیز مورد آزمایش بر روی کتاب های کتابخانه کنگره قرارگرفت. پس از این سال تغییرات و اضافاتی بر رده Q اعمال و ویرایش های بعدی آن به ترتیب در سال های 1913، 1921، 1950، 1973 و 1989 منتشر گردید. • ویرایش ششم که در سال 1973 منتشر شد را کامل ترین ویرایش این رده می دانند، زیرا به جز افزوده شدن اضافات به این رده، تغییرات ساختاری و اصلاحات جدید بسیاری نیز در آن وارد گردید. صدای کتابدار www.lib.ocity.ir

  4. ساختار رده • هر رده فرعی در رده Q با شماره های مربوط به تقسیمات شکلی آغاز می شود و سپس به موضوعات خاص می پردازد، به عنوان مثال تقسیمات فرعی برای پیایندها، کنگره ها و ادواری ها، راهنماها، دایره المعارف ها و غیره دیده می شوند. • رده Q، فاقد جداول کاربرد محدود است و تنها جداول درون متنی Under each در قسمت های مختلف آن دیده می شود. صدای کتابدار www.lib.ocity.ir
