  2. Pre 475 A.D. • I chose this picture to represent Hera, the goddess of women, marriage, and the queen of the Heavens; it just looks like Hera. The picture makes her look like the queen of the Heaven sitting in that throne with the royal staff. Her intimidating stature make up for her beautiful appearance. I can see why Zeus tried so hard to marry her, going so far as to turn himself into a bird to seduce her. In ending, Hera is the queen of the Heavens and the goddess of women and marriage.   3. Modern • I chose this picture to represent how people would think of when they imagine Hera the goddess of women and marriage and also the queen of Heaven. From the looks of the picture, this is what Hera would look like in her throne in Mt. Olympus; a queen that can get any riches and treasures she wants. The scorpion might represent her jealousy and rage if she were to be angered by Zeus when she would see him and his lovers. Though Zeus is the god of the gods, even he had was afraid of Hera when she was on her “anger run”. To wrap things up, this picture represents Hera because it shows her the way she would probably looks like in the minds of the modern people. Provenance is unknown
