2. What is Home Base and what will it do? Home Base is an online tool for teaching and learning. Every user will have one passwordto enter only one time to access resources and tools.

Why Home Base? • Improving teacher effectivenessby providing tools aligned to NC’s Standard Course of Study that promote efficiency by connecting grade books, lessons, instructional resources, and assessments • Ensuring daily parent access to student grades and assignments • Providing time saving toolsthat give ongoing data, results, and recommendations to teachers and students

A Fun Way to Learn About Fractions Exploring Linear Data Sample Mathematics Resources Summary: This site comprises six lesson activities including the definition of a fraction, equivalent fractions, addition of fractions, and multiplication of fractions. Students may respond online to get immediate feedback, or they can work the examples on grid paper. Summary: Students model linear data in a variety of settings that range from car repair costs to sports to medicine. STEM Resources(Science, Technology, Engineering, &Mathematics) Faucet Flow Rate Marble Ride In this STEM lesson plan students design a roller coaster ride for a marble with the goal of having it travel as slow as possible.
