Research Support Services
This update covers the ongoing upgrades to the Academic Cluster as of April 10, 2013. Key enhancements include Dell C6220 servers for compute nodes, Mellanox FDR InfiniBand interconnects, and a redundant 100KVA UPS. As the semester progresses, we've configured 746 cores in the queue system, with a total of 1563 cores available in the cluster. This semester, 158 support requests were addressed across 77 departments, supported by 2 full-time equivalents (FTE) and 11 students. Faculty input is sought on improving display systems, including high-resolution wrap-around displays.
