As I leave the cafeteria each day, I see the trash cans overflowing with mounds of discarded food that kids couldn’t bring themselves to eat. Lots of us bring lunch from home because we can bring what we want like chips and cookies. Many kids through away their school lunches because they don’t like the taste. If the food was better more kids would eat it and get minerals. Too many kids are getting fat and we need to do something about it. If we had more choices like chicken or soup we would be better.
