AR Points . To find out how many points a book is work, go to: www.arbookfind.com If you cannot find a book, ask me and we will come up with a point value. Books are worth a minimum of 6 points. You need to have 35 points by the end of trimester one (beginning of December). .

  1. AR Points • To find out how many points a book is work, go to: www.arbookfind.com • If you cannot find a book, ask me and we will come up with a point value. • Books are worth a minimum of 6 points. • You need to have 35 points by the end of trimester one (beginning of December).

To Get Points • Fill out a plot mountain chart. • Have a short book talk with Ms. Eckhardt before or after school (or sometimes during independent work time). • Write a short book review. • 2 paragraphs. 1st paragraph: Did you like this book, why or why not? 2nd paragraph: What advice would you give to someone who is thinking of reading this book? • Draw a new cover illustration for the book and write a short paragraph on the back explaining why you chose to create the cover in that way.

  4. To Keep Track of Our Reading • Weekly (usually) Reading Reflection Logs • Need to read at least 15 minutes at home 3 days of the week • Practice reading reflections that help you practice what we are learning in class

  6. Exit Ticket • How many days per week do you usually read at home? • When you read at home, how long do you usually read?
