  3. טוב לנו - Gartner 2009 In 2009, the top technologies for CIO’s remain largely unchanged, with business intelligence [BI] in top spot (unchanged in this position since 2006). There are two answers [for why BI is number one], a good one and a lesser one. Gartner vice president and research director, Andy Rowsell-Jones

  4. טוב לנו אך אנחנו בבעיה– Gartner 2009 The good one is this year enterprises are focusing very much on cost and internal performance, and BI is key to that. Then, of course, there is the other reason – the wreckage of failed BI projects. Year-on-year we build data marts, statistical tools etc. But the point is none of them are ever used for anything, so we have another go. Part of the problem with BI is it stays at number one because we think it’s good but no one else seems to be using it.

Butler Group December 2004 It is Butler Group’s contention that far too many Business Intelligence (BI) projects fail to deliver on their promises: expectations are frequently not met, and the hard measure of success, Return On Investment (ROI), either goes unmeasured or falls woefully short. Reasons- • Data quality • Undesirable levels of duplication. • A lack of adequate integration between BI and the rest of the business.

  15. המלצה 5 – נהלו את השינוי C H A N G E התייחסות לניהול השינוי כפעילות מהותית: • הפעלתו ע"י בעלי מקצוע מהתחום הארגוני. • עבודה לפי מודלים סדורים. • עבודה עם אנשים סביב תהליכים. • הקטנת החשש של אנשים מנתונים. • הטמעה מותאמת לקבוצות.

  16. סיכום הדברים לכאורה טריוויאליים ובכל זאת רובנו טועים בהם. • יש להכיר כי נדרש שינוי דרסטי. • יש ליישם שינויים, דוגמת ההמלצות שהוצעו: • הצוות- לא רק אנשי IT. • האפיון- מונחה תהליכי עבודה. • מיקוד • להקל על המשתמש • לנהל את השינוי ואם נצליח- כנראה שה- BI בארגונים יצליח עוד הרבה יותר מיצוי
