  4. We live on the planet Earth.Earth belongs to a family of planets called the solar system.

  6. Mercury is the closest planet to the sun.It is very hot.The Earth’s moon and Mercury are about the same size.

  7. Venus is the second planet from the sun.It is the hottest planet in our solar system.The Earth and Venus are about the same size.

  9. The fifth planet from the sun is Jupiter. • It has orange and white clouds that make it look like it has stripes. • Jupiter has a Great Red Spot. • The spot is a storm like a • hurricane.

  10. Saturn is the sixth planet from the sun.It has thousands of rings.Saturn revolves around the sun once every 29 years.

  11. Uranus is the seventh planet from the sun. It has a greenish color.Uranus is four times the size of earth.

  12. Neptune is the eighth planet from the sun. It is blue. Uranus and Neptune are about the same size.

  13. The smallest planet in our solar system is Pluto.It would take a space ship 15 years to reach this planet.
