  1. The Full Gospel Church March 15, 2009 Vol. XIII Number 11 The Master's Touch

  2. Life Changing Experiences When Moses saw the burning bush and God spoke to him from the burning bush his life was changed. Up to this time in his life the first 40 years he thought that he was everything, the second half of his life he learned that he was nothing, now he is about to learn that God is Everything. Exodus 3:1-6 1 Now Moses kept the flock of Jethro his father in law, the priest of Midian: and he led the flock to the backside of the desert, and came to the mountain of God, even to Horeb. 2 And the angel of the LORD appeared unto him in a flame of fire out of the midst of a bush: and he looked, and, behold, the bush burned with fire, and the bush was not consumed. 3 And Moses said, I will now turn aside, and see this great sight, why the bush is not burnt. 4 And when the LORD saw that he turned aside to see, God called unto him out of the midst of the bush, and said, Moses, Moses. And he said, Here am I. 5 And he said, Draw not nigh hither: put off thy shoes from off thy feet, for the place whereon thou standest is holy ground. 6 Moreover he said, I am the God of thy father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob. And Moses hid his face; for he was afraid to look upon God.

  3. The Master’s Touch Moses spent the first 40 years of his life as a prince of Egypt. He was being groomed as the next pharaoh of Egypt. When he learned that he was a Hebrew slave who was rescued from the Nile by Pharaoh’s sister and adopted as her son, then he was banished from Egypt. Thus the first 40 years of Moses’ Moses learned that he was something special. After he was banished and shown Sinai Desert, he learned that he was really nothing. Thus the next 40 years of Moses’ life, he learned that he was nothing. Thus when Moses was instructed by God to lead the children of Israel out of Egypt, Moses told God that he couldn’t even talk. This was not the same Moses who was a proud prince. This was a humbled man who learned that he was really nothing. Exodus 4:10 10 And Moses said unto the LORD, O my LORD, I am not eloquent, neither heretofore, nor since thou hast spoken unto thy servant: but I am slow of speech, and of a slow tongue. When our lives are touched by the master, they are totally changed. When you receive the Holy Ghost from the Lord your life is changed. When we are born again, we live a new life where everything becomes new. 2 Corinthians 5:17 17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. Just as Moses’ life was changed when he was touched by the master, your life will also change. When I became born again, I went from being a drunken sinner to a Christian who didn’t even like booze any more. I went from smoking 4 packs a day to none. The master will change your life also when you give your all to Him. Allow the master to create a positive change in your life today.

  4. John 3:1-21 1 There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews: 2 The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him. 3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. 4 Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born? 5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. 6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. 7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again. 8 The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit. 9 Nicodemus answered and said unto him, How can these things be? 10 Jesus answered and said unto him, Art thou a master of Israel, and knowest not these things? 11 Verily, verily, I say unto thee, We speak that we do know, and testify that we have seen; and ye receive not our witness. 12 If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye believe, if I tell you of heavenly things? 13 And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven. 14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up: 15 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. 16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. 18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. 19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. 20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. 21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.

  5. Becoming Born-Again When Nicodemus came to Jesus at night he did not know that he was going to be touched by the same master that Moses was touched by. When Jesus started talking to him, he did not even comprehend what Jesus Christ was even talking about. He was thinking carnally instead of spiritually. Many think just like Nicodemus when they are confronted with spiritual truths and do not comprehend what they are being taught. That is why so many cannot under-stand the Bible when they read it. They are thinking carnally and not spiritually. To become born again and a totally new creature in Christ you must first acknowledge that you are a reprobate sinner who needs to repent of your sins. To God there is no such thing as a white lie. All liars are bound for hell. Thus that little white lie that you told will condemn you to eternal torment in hell. There is no such thing as a little sin. All sin will commit you to eternal torment in hell. Are you prepared to take the first step and tell Jesus Christ that you are sorry for your sins? Are you prepared to turn your life over to Jesus Christ and allow him to become your Lord and Master? Peter told the lying Pharisees what they had to do in Acts 2:38-41. 38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. 39 For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the LORD our God shall call. 40 And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, Save yourselves from this untoward generation. 41 Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.
