Effective July 1, 2011, House Bill 48 eliminates certain state tests in North Carolina that are not mandated by federal law or required for federal grants. This includes tests in Algebra II, Civics and Economics, Physics, and U.S. History. Essential operational and field testing calendars for the 2011-12 academic year are maintained, considering various assessments such as NCEXTEND1 and NCEXTEND2 for special cases. For detailed requirements and testing windows, refer to the North Carolina Public Schools Accountability documents.
