  1. IESI/Coastal Waste Services provide twice a week garbage collections: North of Westbank Expressway on Monday/Thursday and South of Westbank Expressway on Tuesday/Friday Billing services are processed by City of Gretna IESI/Coastal Waste Services provides a 96 gallon cart rated to hold up to 100 pounds. Carts are maintained, repaired, and replaced by IESI/Costal Waste Service Waste should be placed curbside after 4pm the evening before your scheduled collection day. IESI/Coastal Waste Services will make one pass through on your designated collection day. Bulky Waste Items -limited to 75 pounds in weight and small enough to be manually loaded into the regular rear load garbage truck. Examples of bulky waste are yard waste, bikes, toys, and small bundles of limbs or shrubs piles 6x6. Bulk and Brush piles bigger than a “Pick-up load or 6X6” should call and schedule a site survey, free of charge, and will be given a quote for removal. Holidays are: New Years, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. No trash will be collected on these days. It will be collected within 48 Hours after the holiday. Please no flammable, hazardous waste, liquid paint, motor oil, concrete, construction or demolition debris Trash Drop Off Sites are available for Gretna Residents at Lapalco Blvd and David Drive at a cost of $14 for pick-ups and $21 for trailers. The items accepted are as follows: Oil – 5 gallons per week, Antifreeze - 5 gallons per week, Batteries - 2 per month, Tires (for small trucks and cars only) 5 per day Small Businesses-limited to a total of (3) carts per business location. No bulky waste will be collected. Bulky waste requires a commercial dumpster. Commercial Services- 2-8 cubic yard dumpsters are available for rental Construction and Demolition –Our full line of services includes: complete home demolition, temporary and permanent roll-off containers available in 20, 30 and 40-cubic yards open tops, compactors customized to suit the surroundings and prompt container delivery.
