  3. Trip To Singapore Singapore is like the coolest cousin of the family whom you invite to every family gathering. Speaking of family, mine travelled to Singapore for a getaway and as an excuse to come together to celebrate my father’s 53rd birthday. I remember when I was a not a day older than 10, all my cousins and my siblings would spend summer holidays together. Playing all day on our Nintendo and fighting for UNO were daily activities. Soon, we all grew up and settled in different parts of the world. Now the closest we come to hanging out together is organizing video calls from our respective abodes.

  4. Trip To Singapore I used to think I am so lame, being the only one who miss those days and wish we could turn back time, but I was surprised to see that all of us felt the same way. So, we all are equally lame. Great. At one of those non-mandatory-video-calls one of my smarter cousin suggested we plan a getaway together. My parents were over the moon with the decision. Singapore was a unanimous call since nobody had had gone there before. All the responsibility of booking flights, hotels and car rentals were given to me since I am the youngest and its my duty to serve my elders (I tried to resist but gave up in the end). I started looking for flights and hotel combo deals which are all the rave at the moment. I spotted a great one and pounced on it with all my strength.

  5. Trip To Singapore The next week my family and I were sitting together in a plane to meet our cousins directly at Singapore airport. The Singapore Changi Airport was beyond any airport I had ever laid eyes on. The airport had won the title of World’s Cleanest Airport for eight consecutive years. It was squeaky clean and looked something out of a sci-fi movie, like any minute bots would take over the world and I would have no choice but to kneel before them. I asked my parents to go rest at the hotel and I would wait for my cousin and join my family later. The hotel had already sent their cars to pick us up from Changi Airport.

  6. Trip To Singapore After sending my parents with the chauffeur I waited at the airport to meet my cousins since all of their flights were landing just minutes away from each other. I decided to kill my time looking around and try my hand at window shopping. Little did I know that I wound spend a fortune at the duty-free shops there. No regrets though. The cousins landed around the same time and we all were giggling like a bunch of 10-year-old. We all made our way to the hotel and decided to unpack, take a rest for an hour and then make our way to Universal Studios Singapore. I wish I could put into words how much fun it was to hang out with my cousins that day, screaming at the top of our lungs on the rides. We all had our lunch at the studios only but for dinner we decided to book a fancy place to ring in my father’s birthday. We zeroed in on Dolce Vita, a classy fine dining place with a great outdoor seating arrangement.

  7. Ending Note It’s been a week since I got back from that memorable trip but I am still getting phone calls from my cousins asking me to plan another such trip. And I am sure about one thing, if we are gonna plan another trip, it will be with Alaska Airlines Reservations.
