  2. Equivalent Fractions • Our problem was 6 over 18 , 2over 36, and 10 over 9. • First you have to rewrite the problem so it can be easier to multiply. • Then you multiply each fraction to get a common denominator. • After you get your answer simplifyto get your final answer.

  5. Real Life Experience • You can use this skill when you go to the store and want to compare prices or the quantity of a product.

  6. Proportions • Our problem for proportions was, you are reducing a print that is 10 inches wide and 12 inches long. If the length of the reduction is 6 inches ,what is the width? • First you have to rewrite the problem by putting the 12 over the 6 and 10 over n to find the reduction of the width. • After you multiply 6 times 10 that gives you 60 times 12n then you divide 60 by 12 that gives you 5 so n=5 is the final answer.
