  2. 1st Corinthians 6:9-11 9 Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, 10 nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God. 11 And such were some of you. But you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God.

  10. 4. A Change in Direction 4.2 A Change of HeartYou Can’t Be Saved Without Being Born Again • “And such were some of you. But… you were sanctified” • Weymouth: “Now you have been set apart as holy” • 2nd Corinthians 5:17, NLT “What this means is that those who become Christians become new persons. They are not the same anymore, for the old life is gone. A new life has begun!”

  11. 4. A Change in Direction 4.3 A Change in Standing • Vs. 11 “But you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God” • Weymouth: “Now you have been pronounced free from guilt” • NLT: “You have been made right with God”
