  9. 1. Do separate with a comma items in a series. Projections of the expanding uses of coal, oil, and natural gas as sources of energy indicate that human activities will cause the atmospheric CO2 concentration to rise to between 2 and 3 times its pre-industrial level by the end of the 21st century.
