  2. We bomb in peace Innocent bombsinnocent bombsthe bombs of goodwillare falling still.Fall friendly bombsdestroy the threat. Will what we sowBe what we get?We bomb.We bombSo that tyranny may cease. We bomb with love.We bomb in peace. The main idea in this poem is that the US army claims to be bombing Iraq in the name of peace but explosions are not that peaceful. This poem has a sense of irony in the contradiction between bombing and peace.

  3. • The first stanza talks about how bombs are “innocent” and out of “goodwill”. Of course this is another case of irony because blowing up some guys house isn't really goodwill. • The second stanza talks about how the bombs are meant to “destroy the threat” but also asks “will we get victory?” The obvious answer is no, unless they really commit to wiping out a bunch of terrorists that only became terrorists because the US invaded. • The 3rd stanza talks about how the US says they only bomb because they want the tyranny to end and how they bomb in “peace and love “ when we all know the truth. Is it really lying if you tell somebody something else when they already know what's going on?

  4. The poetic devices This poem has a bit of irony in all its stanza’s. An example would be “we bomb in peace.” There’s also a bit of repetition. Example: “Innocent bombs, Innocent bombs” Innocent bomb’s also happens to be an oxymoron because exploding things are not innocent.
