  1. The Central Theme of the Bible

  2. In the Bible, with it’s 66 books, 44 authors , written over a span of 3500 years, with one central subject throughout. The birth, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. This is the only book that man may read to know God. From Genesis to Malachi the pre - incarnate Jesus Christ describes and predicts what His time on earth will be like. Right down to the finest detail.

  3. His birth, His life, His miracles, His ministry, His crucifixion, burial and resurrection. Hundreds and even thousands of years prior to the birth of Jesus, the patriarchs, the prophets and the psalmist all made bold predictions that came true just as God planned it. If He spent that much time on our salvation you can be assured that He has spent plenty of time planning our life!

  4. In Genesis God revealed to Adam the manner of the way Jesus would come as the seed of the woman: “I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your seed and her seed; He shall bruise your head, and you shall bruise His heel. Genesis 3:15 NKJV To Abraham God revealed that Jesus would be from the nation of Israel and Jesus would be the king:

  5. Now the Lord had said to Abram, “Get out of your country, and from your father’s house, to a land that I will show you. I will make you a great nation; I will bless you, and make your name great; And you shall be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, and I will curse those who curse; And in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.” Genesis 12:1-3 NKJV

  6. God made it known to Jacob that Jesus would be born into the tribe of Judah: Thescepter shall not depart from Judah, Nor a law giver from between His feet. Until Shiloh comes; And to Him shall be the obedience to the people. Genesis 49:10 NKJV

  7. There are 613 commandments given to us in the Old Testament. They are placed in the Bible to: Give us a moral code to live by. Prove to every one on this earth that it is impossible for us to live up to God’s standard. Most important of all it proves to each of us that we need a Savior.

  8. Not only did Jesus Christ sacrifice His life for our sins and pay the price for our redemption. He is our Advocate who represents us before the Heavenly Father. When we place our trust in Him, He stands between us and death. Through Him our disobedience to God is forgiven. a person who speaks or writes in support or defense of a person

  9. In 2 Samuel 7:12-16 God told David that Jesus Christ would be part of his family tree: When your days are fulfilled and you rest with your fathers, I will set up your seed after you, who will come from your body, and I will establish his kingdom. He shall build a house for My name, and I will establish the throne of his kingdom forever.

  10. I will be his Father, and he shall be My son. If he commits iniquity, I will chasten him with the rod of men and with the blows of the sons of men. But My mercy shall not depart from him, as I took it from Saul, whom I removed from before you. And your house and your kingdom shall be established forever before you. Your throne shall be established forever. NKJV

  11. Psalms 22 opens with a desperate plea from a poor lonely man: My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? why art thou so far from helping me, and from the words of my roaring? That poor, lonely man was none other than Jesus Christ hanging from the cross. The Bible quotes these very words in Mark 27:45, Now from the sixth hour until the ninth hour there was darkness over all the land. And about the ninth hour Jesus cried out with a loud voice, saying, “Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani?” that is, “My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?” KJV

  12. In Psalms 22: 16 we find the prediction that Christ’s hands and feet would be pierced: For dogs have compassed me: the assembly of the wicked have enclosed me: they pierced my hands and my feet. KJV

  13. Psalms 16:8-10 tells us that Christ would rise from the dead. This is the psalm of the resurrection of Jesus Christ. This Psalm is the main topic of Peter’s sermon at Pentecost: I have set the Lord always before me: because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved. Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoiced: my flesh also shall rest in hope. For thou wilt not leave my soul in hell; neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption. KJV.

  14. In these scriptures written hundreds of years before Jesus Christ was born we know that the Word of God foretells the future with 100% accuracy. Jesus, in His life, death and resurrection, has fulfilled each one of these prophesies.

  15. The book of Isaiah was written some 700 hundred years before the birth of Christ and contains one of the most amazing descriptions of the life and death of Jesus Christ. If the Bible does not convince you of it’s truths, then maybe the discover of the Dead Sea scrolls might convince you.

  16. In 1947 a complete copy of Isaiah was found in a cave in Palestine, near the excavated city of Qumran, approximately 1 kilometer from the northwest shore of the Dead Sea. The great Isaiah Scroll was discovered by a Bedouin Shepherd. It is the most complete scroll ever found. Pieces of the scroll have been carbon - 14 dated to 335-324 and 202 - 107 BC.

  17. There have been numerous scribal dating studies conducted that place the scroll at a date range of approximately 150 - 100 BC. The scroll is written on 17 sheets of parchment that are 24 feet long and 11 inches high. All of the dates above predate the birth of Christ. Play Video

  18. Now in Isaiah 9:6-7 we have this remarkable text, “For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. Of the increase of His government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon His kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with justice from henceforth even forever. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this.” KJV

  19. In Isaiah chapter 53 the Bible reveals that Christ will suffer and die for the sins of the people: But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray; We have turned, everyone, to his own way; And the Lord has laid on Him the iniquity of us all. He was oppressed and He was afflicted, Yet He opened not His mouth; He was led as a lamb to the slaughter, And as a sheep before it’s shearers was silent, So He opened not His mouth. He was taken from prison and from judgment, And who will declare His generation? For He was cut off from the land of the living;

  20. For the transgressions of My people He was stricken. And they made His grave with the wicked - But with the rich at His death, Because He had done no violence, Nor was any deceit in His mouth. Yet it pleased the Lord to bruise Him; He has put Him to grief. When You make His soul an offering for sin, He shall see His seed, He shall prolong His days, And the pleasure of the Lord shall prosper in His hand. He shall see the labor of His soul, and be satisfied. By His knowledge My righteous Servant shall justify many, For He shall bear their iniquities.

  21. Therefore I will divide Him a portion with the great, And He shall divide the spoil with the strong, Because He poured out His soul unto death, And He was numbered with the transgressors, And He bore the sin of many, And made intercession for the transgressors.

  22. One of the most fascinating books in all the Bible is Daniel. It was written 530 years before the birth of Christ. Yet this book predicts with great accuracy every major empire in the last 2,500 years. It prophesizes many major events that is still in our future.

  23. In Micah 5:2 God reveals that Jesus will be born in Bethlehem, the city of David. A tiny little village 7 miles north of Jerusalem. “But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, Though you are little among the thousands of Judah, Yet out of you shall come forth to Me The One to be Ruler in Israel, Whose going forth are from of old, from everlasting.”

  24. In Malachi 3:1 we are introduced to John the Baptist who is the forerunner of Jesus Christ. John proclaimed, ‘Repent from your sins for the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand.” He was described as “ A voice in the Wilderness.” “Behold, I send my messenger, And he will prepare the way before me. And the Lord, whom you seek, Will suddenly come to His temple, Even the Messenger of the covenant,” says the Lord of hosts.

  25. In Zechariah 11:11-14 we are foretold the story of Judas who betrayed Jesus for 30 pieces of silver: So it was broken on that day. Thus the poor of the flock, who were watching me, knew that it was the word of the Lord. Then I said to them, “If it is agreeable to you, give me my wages; and if not, refrain.” So they weighed out for my wages thirty pieces of silver.

  26. And the Lord said to me, “Throw it to the potter”—that princely price they set on me. So I took the thirty pieces of silver and threw them into the house of the Lord for the potter. Then I cut in two my other staff, Bonds, that I might break the brotherhood between Judah and Israel.

  27. Every single thing that God through the prophets had foretold concerning the time that Jesus Christ spent on this earth has come true, right down to the smallest detail. Do not think that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to fulfill. For assuredly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one tittle will by no means pass from the law till all is fulfilled.

  28. Whoever therefore breaks one of the least of these commandments, and teaches men so, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever does and teaches them, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven. For I say to you, that unless your righteousness exceeds the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven. Matthew 5:17-20 Countless times New Testament scriptures state, “But all this was done that the Scriptures of the prophets might be fulfilled.”

  29. Now you have Biblical and scientific knowledge that the Bible is true. It is what they say it is, “the inerrant Word of God.” I would hope you will take this knowledge and do something with it. By all means please do not take our word for it. Search out the scriptures. Study history and read what others have written. The worst thing that could happen is you will find that you have someone that loves you and will do anything for you, including giving up their life so that you may live.
