  8. State Institution of Higher Professional Education Kirov State Medical Academy of the Federal Agency for Health Careand Social Development

Academy in dates and events • Affiliate of Perm state medical academy was founded in the city of Kirov. • Postgraduate research training began. • The faculty of pre-college preparation appeared; the department of internship and clinical residency was opened; first medical graduates. • Kirov state medical institute was established. • A 100-bed therapeutic clinic began functioning. • Affiliate of the Internal Medicine Faculty in Komi republic was opened. • The faculty of social work was organized. • The faculty of professional retraining was founded. • Kirov state medical institute was granted the status of Kirov state medical academy. • The faculty of higher nursing care and the faculty of expertise and economics was established. • Dissertation committee was founded. • Kirov state medical academy successfully passed through regular state attestation and got state accreditation till 2009 г. • The department of internship and clinical residency became the institute of postgraduate training. • Dean’s office of the part-time training for the faculties of higher nursing care and social work appeared. • The department of family medicine was formed on the basis of the Academy’s outpatient clinic. • Faculty of pre-college preparation became the center of pre-college preparation. • The department of pedagogics was organized. • Academy passed through regular state attestation.
