XSEAD fosters networks of creativity & innovation in Science, Engineering, Arts, and Design through a virtual portal for content archival and dissemination. It features archival of diverse content types, low entry threshold for contributions, and dynamic organization based on community usage patterns. XSEAD comprises four layers with unique functions, an inclusive leadership/editorial board, and coordination with NSEAD for synergistic efforts.

XSEAD features • archival and dissemination of multimodal content • video, graphics, music, papers, code, apps, etc • low entry threshold for contributions coupled with incentivization for deep engagement • opportunities for users to discover and connect to communities of shared interests • dynamic organization based on community usage patterns • intuitive navigation, search and discovery.
XSEAD STRUCTURE • four layers • highly designed Entry layer for general audience • second Layer for curated and peer-reviewed work • third Layer for multi format contributions by all interested members of the community • resource Layer with useful archival information. • each layer will have unique functions and structures • all four layers will be interconnected and integrated.
Leadership/editorial board • XSEAD authors will lead development stage • Turn over running to editorial board • Leadership role for ACM and Leonardo • Editorial board to include strong industry presence • Diverse (age, gender, ethnicity) • XSEAD will fund hire of first managing editor • Key role for NSEAD in editorial board
