SDRouteManagerCE • SDRouteManagerCE is a handheld route management system which can be utilized on Windows Mobile and CE devices • The Graphical User Interface is extremely simple to use • The first thing a user would have to do is to set the configuration settings • Click on Configuration and choose Settings

SDRouteManagerCE • When inside the settings menu, the route directory must be set • Click the button with the “…” under the Route Storage Folder heading to go into the folder explorer • Once inside the file explorer, the user will have to navigate to the non-volatile storage card (PCMCIA-CF Card in this instance) • Click OK when inside the appropriate folder • The folder will show up in the text box • Click OK to save the changes

SDRouteManagerCE • To prepare the route, click the dropdown arrow and select the proper route • Click Build Download to start the build process • The program will ask the user to select the download file • Normally, the download file is selected automatically so that the user need only click Select • A dialog will appear when the download build is completed • The route is now ready to be read in SDReaderCE • Click OK on the pop up dialog and then click Close to exit out of SDRouteManagerCE

SDRouteManagerCE • After the meter reader is done collecting the meter readings, it is time to prepare the upload to go to the billing system. • With the correct route selected, click Build Upload • SDRouteManagerCE will then prompt the user to select the name of the upload file • This name is defaulted to upload.dat • Click Select to build the upload file • When the build is finished, a dialog will pop notifying the user • The route is now ready for the billing system

SDRouteManagerCE • If a billing system does not provide a number of dials selection option or a read multiplier option, SDRouteManagerCE can accommodate such needs • To format the number of dials or the multiplier, click Configuration and select AMR Formatting • Formatting the download file will tell SDReaderCE how many dials to read • Select the meter type by clicking the check box and choosing the number of dials from the dropdown box • Click OK to save the changes

SDRouteManagerCE • The upload format will append zeros or truncate numbers at the end of the reading depending on the selection • The selection method is the same as the format download • While the download format is limited to three options that cover the spectrum of read types, the upload allows the user a little more versatility • FIN
