Ryan's mother was an opera singer; she died when he was only 6, while his father fight to sustain him and his three siblings. His mother's wish was that no one of her children would make music as a line of work; knowing how tough life is for a musician within sufficient income. Ryan Cayabyab firstly took up Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in the University of the Philippines, Diliman.

  6. He received a free education to the Academy of Music in Manila and became the youngest affiliate of the Manila Symphony Orchestra. He was a creative songwriter, with more than 4,000 songs to his acclaim including Filipino folk, Christmas, and love songs that are popular pieces, which many consider to be immortal. Famous for being a lyricist, his songs treasure life; express nationalistic sentiments and complete grand philosophies.

LEVI CELERIO At one instance or another, no Filipino can miss the song or lyrics of Levi's Christmas songs namely PaskonaNaman, AngPasko ay Sumapit , and Misa de Gallo.He is probably best recognized for being a leaf-player, an achievement where he was place intothe Guinness Book of World Records.He wrote a huge number of songs for local movies, which gained him the Lifetime AchievementAward of the Film Academy of the Philippines.He was awarded as National Artist of the Philippines for Music in 1997. He died on April 2,2002.

  9. JULIAN FELIPE Julian Felipe, composer of the Philippine National Anthem, was born in Cavite on January 28, 1861, to parents Justo Felipe and Victoria Reyes. His musical talent began to be honed when he was 10 years old, under the instruction of Leandro Cosca. After Cosca’s death, Pedro Catalan, a Recollect priest, taught him to play the piano. Catalan later employed him as an organist at the San Pedro Parish Church in Cavite. Felipe also taught music at a girls’ school, La SagradaFamilia.

  11. JOSE MARI CHAN Chan was born on 11 March 1945 in Iloilo City. He took up Bachelor of Arts in Economic at the Ateneo de Manila University and graduated in 1967. A year earlier, he first showcased his singing talent in the local scene as the host and singer of a television show called "9 Teeners" of ABS-CBN. Banking on this exposure, he released his first single Afterglow in 1967, his first song to hit the top of the charts. It was followed by his first long playing album Deep in My Heart in 1969 which also scored a success. His popularity made him the country's bet for the World Popular Song Festival in Tokyo, Japan, where he sang his composition Can We Just Stop and Talk A While. He was awarded the Ten Outstanding Young Men (TOYM) of the Philippines a year later for his achievements.

  13. Nilo Alcala (b Manila, 23 February 1978) is a Filipino composer and chorister. Alcala graduated BS Development Communication from the University of the Philippines Los Baños (BSDC 1999) prior to his admission in 2001 to the University of the Philippines Diliman College of Music (BM 2007) where he graduated magna cum laude. His major composition teachers were Josefino ‘Chino’ Toledo and Ramόn P. Santos.

  15. OGIE ALCASID • Herminio Jose LualhatiAlcasid, Jr., or known to many as OgieAlcasid is born on August 27, 1967. He is a Filipino singer and songwriter, comedian, actor, presenter and parodist. Currently, he is the president of the OrganisasyonngPilipinongMang-aawit (OPM).

  16. OGIE ALCASID • In show business, Ogie started out as a recording artist. In 1989, he released his self titled album with the single "NanditoAko". His song album hit the gold record charts while his single was acknowledged as Song of the Year by local radio station, Magic 89.9. He has released a total of 18 albums since then which includes a Christmas album, a live album and greatest hits albums. In his years of recording he has received 12 gold records, 3 platinum records and 3 double platinum records.

REY VALERA • Reynaldo Valera Guardiano (better known as Rey Valera) (born May 4, 1954 in Meycauayan, Bulacan, Philippines) is a well-known singer, songwriter, music director, film scorer and television host from the Philippines. He wrote and produced songs that were recorded by various singers, most notably Sharon Cuneta. He was a former host of the variety noontime show Pilipinas Win na Win alongside Rico J. Puno, Nonoy Zuniga and Marco Sison.

  20. SNAFFU RIGOR • Snaffu Rigor (born Roberto Nicholas Rigor, August 8, 1946) is a Filipino composer and vocalist. • He started composing in 1964. His first recorded Tagalog composition was "T.L AkoSa'yo", a hit by Cinderella in 1975; he also wrote the lyrics to Ernani Cruz's "BatosaBuhangin" and the English version of "Araw-araw, Gabi-gabi". Rigor was a member of the bands Ramrods, Cinderella, Backdoor and Blackbuster, and heads the Domestic A&R of Blackgold.

FRANCISCO SANTIAGO • Francisco Santiago (January 29, 1889 – September 28, 1947), was a Filipino musician, sometimes called The Father of Kundiman Art Song. • Santiago was born in Santa Maria, Bulacan, Philippines, to musically-minded peasant parents, Felipe Santiago and Maria Santiago. In 1908, his first composition, Purita, was dedicated to the first Carnival Queen, Pura Villanueva, who later married the distinguished scholar TeodoroKalaw. • Santiago's masterpiece was the "Concerto in B flat minor" for pianoforte and orchestra and his most famous piece "Kundiman, (Anak-Dalita)".

FRANCISCO SANTIAGO • His other compositions are the kundiman "Sakali Man", "Hibikng Filipinas", "Pakiusap", "AngPag-ibig", "Suyuan", "Alaala Kita", "Ikaw at Ako", "Ano Kaya angKapalaran?", "HatolHari Kaya?", "Sakali'tMamatay", "Dalit ngPag-ibig", "AkingBituin", "MadalingAraw" and "PagsikatngAraw". He was named UP Emeritus Professor of Piano, on May 25, 1946. When the University of the Philippines Conservatory of Music was celebrating its 30th anniversary, the patriotic musician died of a heart attack. He was buried at the North Cemetery, Manila. A hall in the Head Office of BDO( former PCIBank Twin Towers) was named in his honor as the Francisco Santiago Hall. It was mainly used for kundiman contests of the Makati City Government and the awarding of Service Awards of the former Equitable PCIBank and PCIBank.

  25. VINCENT DE JESUS • Vincent Abenojar De Jesus (born June 10, 1968) is a Filipino composer, librettist,[1] musical scorer, and musical director for theater, television, and film. He is also a writer, lyricist, actor, singer, and educator. • He attended the University of the Philippines Diliman College of Music, and majored in piano and voice. He is a member of the Philippine Educational Theater Association since 1985. • He has been awarded three (3) ManunuringPelikulang Pilipino GawanUrian, two (2) Film Academy of the Philippines Luna Award, three (4) Philippine Movie Press Club Star Awards, two (2) Entertainment Press Golden Screen Awards, and one (1) GawadTanglaw for Best Achievement in Film Music.

VINCENT DE JESUS • He is a recipient of the Don Carlos Palanca Memorial Award for Literature for a one-act play. • He won the PhilstageGawadBuhay Awardee for Outstanding Original Libretto (2008 and 2009), Outstanding Musical Direction (2008), Outstanding Original Composition (2009), and Outstanding Musical (2008 and 2009). • He has written and acted as Pipay in Euro-Asia and GMA Network's TV series Camera Café, which won the 2008 Asian TV Award for Best Comedy. He co-hosted GMA Network's Wipeout: MatiraAngMatibay with Paolo Contis.

  28. YOYOY VILLAME • YoyoyVillame (born Roman TesorioVillame November 18, 1932 - May 18, 2007), was a Filipinosinger, composer, lyricist, and comedian. Villame was a native of Calape, Bohol and was the father of singer Hannah Villame. He died of cardiac arrest at the Las Piñas Medical Center in Metro Manila on May 18, 2007.

EMILIO VILLAREAL • Emilio Villareal, also fondly called Maestro Mil, by his constituents as well as the talented singers he mentored over the years, is one of Cebu’s most talented composers and musicians. Born in Boljo-on, Cebu in 1920, Mil was one of several children born to Chinese and Spanish immigrants. The gift of music was one shared by several siblings, but it was Mil whose career spanned several decades and to this day, is still alive in spite of his advanced years.

  31. EMILIO VILLAREAL • In Mil’s early musical years, he started as the school Band Director of the University of San Carlos (1946–1948). He moved on to becoming a staff pianist and eventually, the Musical Director of Cebu Broadcasting Company (1948–1982). With the advent of television, he was picked as the Musical Directo of Channel 7’s “Sali Kami” (1983–1988). During this time, he was also the Band Leader of the Aristocrats Orchestra and DYRC Orchestra. During this time, his reputation for composing some of the most memorable songs in Visayan history flourished. Among the most unforgettable ones was BisansaDamgo Lang, a song popularized and sung by Pilita Corrales, the Philippines’ foremost female ballad singer.

  35. LUCIO SAN PEDRO • He is known in the Philippines as the composer of the popular lullaby Sa UgoyngDuyan (in collaboration with Levi Celerio) and the symphonic poem LahingKayumanggi. He taught composition at a number of colleges and universities, including the University of the Philippines College of Music, where he served as chairman of its Composition and Conducting Department from 1970 to 1973.

His energetic dance moves also garnered him the nickname "Mr. Pure Energy." He has released 26 albums, and won the Awit Award for "Best Male Performer" 11 times. In 1998 he became the first UNICEF National Ambassador of Goodwill for the Philippines. • He is currently part of ABS-CBN contract actors

  40. GARY VALENCIANO • Dubbed “Mr. Pure Energy,” Gary Valenciano is a Filipino musician and actor known for his over-the-top, enthusiastic performances. Valenciano has made 26 albums over the course of his career and has won the Awit Award, Philippines equivalent to Grammy Awards, for “Best Male Performer” 11 times. In addition to his music career and acting work, Valenciano is also the ambassador of UNICEF Philippines and has held the title since 1998.
