Evaluating Employees • Store managers or assistant managers should make the evaluations. • Evaluations should be based on clearly defined goals and processes that the employee understands. • These goals must be achievable and obtainable to the employee. • Helping employees reach these goals is the job of their supervisor, with the right coaching and feedback the employee and manager can work together to reach new performance highs.

Taking the extra time to work with the employee and lead them to discovering a positive solution is for the best. You should never go to an employee with a problem without offering some kind of guide to the solution
Feed Back • Providing feedback is an effective way to promote growth and improve skills, and motivate positive changes in employees. • After observing either positive or negative behaviors you should give feedback right away to either reinforce the positive behavior or help support more consistent performance.
