This victory came at the expense of Max Verstappen, who crashed out on lap 31. The Dutchman had been leading the race until that point, but was forced to retire after hitting the back of Fernando Alonso's car. Hamilton's teammate ValtteriBottas finished third. The Dutchman was running in second place behind Lewis Hamilton when he collided with the Finn, sending both cars spinning into the barriers. Verstappen was able to walk away from the incident unscathed but his race was over. Hamilton went on to win the race by almost a minute, taking home his fourth Malaysian Grand Prix victory. With this victory, Hamilton now has a 15-point lead in the Drivers' Championship over Verstappen. • What did Lewis Hamilton do to win the Malaysian Grand Prix? • As the race began, Sebastian Vettel was leading from Hamilton and Verstappen. However, due to a punctured tyre on Vettel's Ferrari, he was forced to pit for new tyres. This allowed Hamilton to take the lead. • Hamilton then went on to win the Malaysian Grand Prix. He did this by passing Verstappen multiple times and taking advantage of his pace lapse. • How did Max Verstappen crash out of the Malaysian Grand Prix? • Max Verstappen crashed out of the Malaysian Grand Prix in a controversial manner. The Red Bull driver lost control of his car while exiting turn four, slamming into the barriers and ending his race. This caused him to finish 14th and lose any chance at victory. • Many are questioning how Max Verstappen could have crashed out of the Malaysian Grand Prix so controversially. There were several factors that led to this crash, including Verstappen's aggressive driving style and lack of experience in extreme conditions like wet weather. The combination of these two factors resulted in a disastrous end to Max Verstappen's race.
