  3. Background The Reforms of King Josiah (2 Kings 22-23; 2 Chronicles 34-35) • The kings since Hezekiah have been wicked • The temple is in need of urgent repair • The book of the Law is found by Hilkiah • The people read, repent, reform, rededicate and return

Lost in the House of God A Loss of Bible Knowledge • Some have a lack of knowledge (Hos. 4:6) • Some are not reading (Isa. 34:16; Mk. 12:10; 1 Timothy 4:13; Josh. 8:34-35; Col. 4:16; 1 Thess. 5:27) • Some are not understanding (Neh. 8:7-8; Mt. 13:15; 15:10; 24:15; Acts 8:30; Lk. 24:45; Eph. 5:17) • Some err not knowing (Mt. 22:29) • Some are not searching (Jn. 5:39; Acts 17:11) • Some are not learning (Rom. 15:4) • Some are not exposed early on (2 Tim. 3:15)
