In order to qualify in the final evaluation, nominated chapters are required to submit a report with pictorial documentation of the accomplishments and achievements for the year 2011. Although an individual is nominated to a specific award, the Awards Committee has the option to evaluate what particular award would be more appropriate. • THE 2012 CONVENTION • The Philippine Agricultural Engineering Week is celebrated every fourth week of April pursuant to Proclamation No. 369 dated 10 April 1989. • The PSAE will celebrate the 23rd Agricultural Engineering Week highlighted by the 10th PSAE International Convention and Exhibition, and the 62nd PSAE Annual National Convention on 23-27 April 2012 at Victoriano J. Rodriguez Hall, Provincial Capitol Bldg, Puerto Princesa City, Palawan. • The four-day activity will include plenary session, business forum, trade matching, technical paper presentation, exhibits, & eco-tour on the development and exciting opportunities in agricultural engineering and allied fields. • LANGUAGES • The official languages of the conference are English and Filipino. • CALL FOR PAPERS • Interested persons, organizations , institutions, companies, and other entities are invited to present innovations, new technologies, products, systems innovations and best practices in agricultural engineering particularly in the following areas: • Agricultural machinery, mechanization, power, processing & food engineering • Agricultural buildings, structures, electrification, energy, waste disposal, utilization & environmental management • Soil and Water conservation, irrigation & drainage, water resources management, aquaculture resource engineering • Agricultural resources information technology resources, instrumentation & control, business & commerce • Abstract not exceeding 250 words should be submitted on or before April 6, 2012 to arnold_elepano@yahoo.com. Each abstract presentation in MS Word with Calibri Font 11 will be reviewed and the decision will be conveyed to each author by April 13, 2012. The guidelines in writing and presentation will be forwarded to the author with the acceptance letter. The final paper (1 CD-R & 50 hardcopies) must be submitted not later than April 23,2012. Said papers will be categorized accordingly. Submission of posters is also encouraged for the Poster Competition. • REGISTRATION FEE • The registration fee is discounted at (a) PhP 3,200 on or before March 30,2012; (b) PhP 3,500 on or before April 13, 2012 ; & PhP 4,000 on site registration for local participants and $200 for foreign participants.
