The 7th NIR SIG meeting, chaired by Maemura Akinori and co-chaired by Chianan Hsieh, took place to discuss pertinent issues regarding National Internet Registries (NIRs). Established in March 2000 during APRICOT 2000, the NIR SIG has aimed to promote cooperation among NIRs and share operational information. Updates from JPNIC, APJII, KRNIC, and TWNIC were presented, focusing on policy meetings, registry systems, and ongoing projects. The meeting facilitated a platform for open dialogue and the exchange of valuable insights among NIR stakeholders.
