  2. Benevolent • Definition-characterized by or expressing goodwill or kindly feelings • Synonym-caring • The little girl was benevolent when she gave her mom a flower.

  3. Compassionate • Definition-Feeling or showing compassion; sympathetic • Synonym-indulgent • Max was compassionate over his lonely owner.

  4. Somber • Definition-gloomy, depressing or dismal • Synonym- mournful • The dog was somber after his owner had passed away

  5. pessimistic • Definition-pertaining to or  characterizedby pessimism; gloomy • Synonym- hopeless • Lola was pessimistic after her 5th boyfriend dumped her.

  6. Desolate • Definition- barren or laid waste; devastated • Synonym- abandoned • The desert was very desolate.

  7. Haughty • Definition-disdainfully proud;  snobbish; scornfully arrogant; supercilious • Synonym-egotistical • William was acting in a haughty manner after he had won the contest.
