  1. MMA WELDING LAB TOUR WELCOME TO THE WELDING LABORATORY AT MAINE MARITIME ACADEMY

  2. MMA WELDING LAB TOUR I AM STEVE COLLINS, THE WELDING INSTRUCTOR.

  3. MMA WELDING LAB TOUR We offer courses focusing on • Shielded Metal Arc (“Stick”) Welding, • Oxyacetylene Cutting, • and other processes used in these industries • marine shipping • drilling platform • electric power generation

  4. Each student has a booth with a 350 Amp multiprocess (Stick/Mig/Tig) power supply exhaust vent shield curtain welding helmet leather cape and sleeves wire brush slag hammer and welding clamp MMA WELDING LAB TOUR

  5. MMA WELDING LAB TOUR All of our booths are now equipped with new multi-process inverter power supplies set up for Stick and MIG

  6. Students cut all their own metal from stock using oxyacetylene torches. MMA WELDING LAB TOUR

  7. MMA WELDING LAB TOUR Students use mechanized equipment for cutting and beveling test plates

  8. MMA WELDING LAB TOUR Advanced students cut, bevel, and weld pipe

  9. The first weld test assembly for EG243 Welding, our beginning welding course. Using 1/8” diameter E6011 and E7018 SMAW (“Stick”) electrodes on 3/8” thick steel plate. MMA WELDING LAB TOUR
