  2. Alice in Wonderland • “Would you tell me please which way I ought to walk from here?” • “That depends a good deal on where you want to get to,” said the Cat. • “I don’t much care where,” said Alice. • “Then it doesn’t much matter which way to walk.”

  3. Habit 2 – Begin with the End in Mind • Developing a clear picture of where you want to go with your life. • Deciding what your values are and setting goals.

  4. Imagine One Year Away • In your mind, imagine someone walking toward you about a half a block away. At first you can’t see who it is… then you see it is you – as you would like to be one year from now. • What have you done in the last year? • How do you feel inside? • How do you look? • What characteristics do you have?

  5. Crossroads of Life • Choosing the path of your life… • Do you want to go to college? • What will your attitude toward life be? • Should you try out for that team? • What type of friends do you want to have? • Will you join a gang? • Who will you date? • Will you have sex before marriage? • Will you drink, smoke, do drugs? • What values will you choose? • What kind of relationships do you want with your family? • What will you stand for? • How will you will contribute to your community?

  8. The Great Discovery • Answer questions 1 – 10 on pages 86 – 89. For • #1 list at least 5 • #2 list at least 5 • #3 list at least 2 or 3 • #4 list at least 1 or 2 • #5 list all 10 • #6 it could be from music, nature, sports, etc. • #7 write a paragraph of at least 5 sentences • #8 write a paragraph or a poem • #9 write a paragraph of 5 sentences explaining who and why, and then list 10 questions you would ask • #10 list at least 5

Write Your Mission Statement It should include things for • Your life over the next year • Your life over the next five years • Your life in general The format is your choice, but it must be comprehensive and touch on • School • Relationships (family and friends) • Principles/Values • Hobbies/Talents • What You Value Most in Life
