Disaster and Development Centre The purpose of the Disaster and Development Centre (DDC) is to explore the association of sustainable development with improved human security through risk management, resilience, emergency response systems, and longer-term recovery strategies. These fields of inquiry are guided by the needs of communities and institutions in addressing vulnerability and disaster response.
