In homeroom Barry was on the Pet Patrol. He cleaned the hamster cage the turtle tank, the fish bowl and the bird cage two times a week. At lunchtime, Barry stopped some boys who were going to step on a spider. Barry picked the spider up with a piece of paper and carried it outside and let it go. At home Barry had a cage full of mice he caught in the kitchen with a clever trap. He had stopped his mother from using mouse poison on them. He also had a jar full of spiders he had rescued from the bathtub.
